St. Columb's Park House

is a day and residential centre in Londonderry run by St. Columb's Reconciliation Trust.

 

The Trust is a non-protit making company limited by guarantee and is committed to the promotion of Community Relations and Community Development. By providing a unique city-centre location, this neutral venue is ideai for a broad range of social, cultural, educational and resreational activities.

 

Situated in the Waterside area of the historic city the centre is strategically placed to take advantage of the social and recreational amenities in both the city, and throughout the counties of Derry, Donegal and Tyrone.

The recently renovated eighteenth century mansion offers a wide range of facilities which include:

 

For residential users the centre provides five dormitories, one of which is furnished with assisted showers and toilets for disabled users. En-suite bedroom facilities are provided for group leaders and workshop facilitators.

The centre is ideal for day and residential activities such as:

Groups may wish to run their own programmes or have our staff help plan and facilitate courses especially tailored to group needs incorporating both indoor and outdoor elements.

THE SETTING

The building is losated in five and a half acres of woodland ard gardens which in turn is set in the rolling woodlands of St. Columb's Park.

This large city&laqno;centre park has football-pitches, tennis courts and an arena for athletics. The sixty acre park is ideal for riverside walks, nature trails and orienteering

The City Council Recreation Centre is located only a few hundred yards from St. Columbs Park House and provides a broad range of indoor activities such as squash, badminton, basketball, football etc. A climbing wall has recently been installed.

These activities can be incorporated into programmes and special rates have been agreed for users of St. Columb's Park House.

WHERE TO FIND US

The centre and St. Columb's Park are located in the Waterside area within walking distance of local shops and amenities and ciose to the main city bus and Ulster bus routes. Vehicular access is via Browning Drive and pedestrian access via St. Columb's Park.
